This 19th-century folding panoramic map depicts the scenic Middle Rhine Valley. Designed as a keepsake for steamboat travelers, the map folds out to a continuous bird's eye view of the Rhine River corridor. Small vignettes along either side of the river feature town views, major landmark buildings, statues, and other attractions. Panorama views at the top and bottom feature the cities of Cologne and Mainz, the start and end of the area depicted. In very good condition, with some wear along fold lines and minor splitting at edges. Language: English
