We occupy the entire 7 floors of our townhouse - and a Brooklyn warehouse - but many people who visit us are so smitten by the main showroom that they don’t realize there’s more to see on other floors!
The basement is packed with 45,000 inexpensive general-interest books: fiction, biography, drama, music, religion, science, poetry, cooking, etc.
The second floor is our gallery, filled with hundreds of thousands antique maps, prints, posters & paintings.
The fifth floor has an enormous history department - mostly Americana, but all other areas of the world are also represented. The modern first edition department is a famous resource for collectors.
The sixth floor is our autograph department which has one of the largest collections of signed books, letters, manuscripts, documents and photographs - many are already framed.
