Highly detailed pocket map of London spanning from Hammersmith to Hackney, circa 1920s. The hardcover contains a booklet inside listing important cultural institutions, census information, an index of street names, and includes a small, black and white map of Central London, and another of London and Suburban Railway Stations. In very good condition.
George Washington Bacon (1830 - 1922) was a London-based book and map publisher. His firm, G.W. Bacon and Co., published several important atlases, including The New Ordnance Atlas of the British Isles. This map is a fine example of Bacon's publishing work. Language: English
