Geographical and cultural elements are artfully included, with major rivers, cities, topographical features, and natural resources are labeled. Insets depict detailed city pans of Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro, with population, major points of interest, and directions to neighboring cities or countries labeled. This map appeared as a supplement to the December 1937 issue of Fortune magazine. 3 sets of publisher chops but otherwise in very good condition.

Richard Edes Harrison (1901-1994) was a prominent American cartographer and designer. He was well-known for his innovative approach to perspective and projection; his skills in visualization and graphic design transformed the field of map-making into an important storytelling tool and a way to make spatial information more accessible to the public.
