Shows extended routes to Japan, and to the Americas, reflecting a significant expansion of the airline network from the late 1930's maps by Boucher. Lucien Boucher (1889 - 1971) was a French illustrator, engraver, poster artist and draftsman who specialized in illustrating books and posters. He began his career as a caricature artist and later moved on to create posters for the film and advertising industry. Many of his early lithographs were inspired by surrealism. His best known works are a series of advertising posters and world maps for Air France. This is an example of some of his best work. Binding: Unbound
