Typed Letter Signed
Princeton: 1904.
1 page, 8.75 x 8 inches, Princeton, New Jersey, May 5, 1904, to the publishing house of McClure Phillips & Co., who evidently sent the former President a complimentary edition of a Lincoln Steffens Book that has been misplaced, in part: "...I cannot now recall the receipt of Mr. Steffens' book which you refer to. I have not been able to institute a thorough search among the books and literature which have been showered upon me lately, but it seems to me that if I had seen the book, I should certainly have remembered it..." Uneven bottom edge; very good(-) condition.
