Madame Tussaud resided in France for more than 30 years, and was greatly attached to the French Royal Family, in conssquence of having lived with them. Her memoirs contain many very interesting anecdotes, and accounts, of some of the most appalling scenes which modern times have presented, of which she was an eye-witness.
