Classic 19th century city plan of Baltimore, Maryland. Hand colored to show wards, with streets, parks, railroads, and other notable landmarks labeled. The map is in very good condition. Some scattered foxing, mostly to margins, with small chips and tears to lower edge, not affecting the image.
The Colton family was one the most prolific and successful publishers of maps and atlases in the United States. J.H. Colton (1800-1893) founded his business in NYC in 1831.
