This lovely 19th century map of Virginia and West Virginia is divided into counties and townships, showing major routes and geographical details. Cities, towns, counties, rivers, mountain ranges, and railroads are labeled. Delicately hand colored with orange outline delineating counties, red and green showing state boundaries, and a light blue border wash. In very good condition. Minor wear to edges, not affecting the image.
T.G. Bradford (1802-1887) was a Boston based publisher. He worked as assistant editor of the American Encyclopedia before entering the field of map making.
