The passiflora laurifolia is a species of passion flower commonly known as the water lemon. It is native to the tropical Americas but has spread to other parts of the world.
Francisco Manuel Blanco (1778-1845) was a Spanish botanist and Augustinian friar. His publication 'Flora de Filipinas' was the second comprehensive study on flora in the Philippines, following the work produced by Jesuit friar Georg Joseph Kamel. From the second (out of 3) edition, the only edition with illustrations.
