Dramatic rendering of the 1740 Batavia Massacre, in which soldiers of the Dutch East India Company allied with Batavian ethic groups against Chinese residents of the Indonesia city of Batavia. Batavia, which is now current day Jakarta, was the epicenter of Dutch East India Company's business in Asia, and was the capital of the Dutch East Indies. Original fold line as issued. Minimal toning to edges. Overall in excellent condition.
