Lively scene showing a large group traversing forth from a Central Park archway. Children, livestock, wagon and finely dressed folk all rush from the entryway with the serene, forested landscape of the park just above them. From the Third Annual Report of the Board of Commissioners of the Central Park. Architect Calvert Vaux, who designed 27 bridges and archways for Central Park between 1859 and 1866, is credited in a caption under the image. Foxing, original fold lines as issued.
