Nice map of Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois divided into counties. Showing towns, major routes, railroads, and waterways. In very good condition. Damp staining to right edge, not affecting the image. Otherwise the map is clean and bright.

Adam Black (1784-1874) was a Scottish publisher and politician who, with his brother Charles, founded the A. & C. Black publishing company. Together they published a wide range of materials, including atlases, medical books, and the 7th, 8th and 9th editions of the Encyclopedia Britannica.

I *Just* got the books. Satisfied is way too common a word. Superlative is way to low to describe the condition of the books. I am astonished! You have under-graded their condition. They are "As New", they have never been read! I have been collecting books for some 40 years. There is no remnant of thumbing through the pages. The spines are mint, and the covers and corners are immaculate. I am grateful to you for the low cost of these volumes, and they shall be well read (except for the Latin passages, at least until I have gained some fluency in that as-of-yet unexplored language, though I have a passing acquaintance with it). You have gained a life long client! Many thanks for the great pack job, as the USPS was none to gentle with the box. It was somewhat "ventilated" when they put it on my doorstep. I was pleased beyond words just to think that I was getting an original copy of a book that my great great grandfather wrote. When it arrived it was an even bigger treasure for me, as his own handwriting was in the upp right corner of the cover, giving the book to a fellow colleague.
