This original World War I-era poster includes a message in Slovak, warning against speculators and urging people not to sell their bonds or stamps. An English language version of this poster was published, reading "Don't Let Swindlers Persuade You to Part with Your Liberty Bonds or War Savings Stamps". Similar posters were published in Italian, Hebrew/Yiddish, Russian, and Polish. This poster includes the additional line 'Pozor na Spekulantov', which translates to "Beware of Speculators!"
War loan posters like this one were produced in great volume during the First World War to encourage people to support the war effort financially. The poster is in good condition, with minor tears to edges and some staining along lower left margin.
