Presentation copy to a young fellow poet, Robert Lowell, "To Robert the Younger from Robert the Older". Superb association copy. linking the two major poets of the 20th century. Lowell and Frost met in 1936 when the younger poet sought out Frost at Harvard and asked for an opinion. Frost saw much promise, but advised Lowell to be more concise. This "rebuff" rankled, and the two never became good friends.
