Very uncommon signed card during the Spanish-American War, 3.75" x 2.5", "Simon Snyder - Brig. Genl. U.S. Vols. - Col. 19th Infy. U.S. Army." Evenly toned and in very good condition.
American military officer who distinguished himself during the Civil War and later as an Indian fighter against the Sioux at Bear Paw Mountains, Montana, September 30, 1877. During the Spanish-American War he was promoted to Major General (1898).
