This beautiful large supplement to the Harper's Weekly January 21, 1899 edition features images of Havana. From photographs by S. A. Cohner, the supplement features a large panoramic view of the city and harbor of Havana. Six other images includes views of Central Park, Wagons of the 7th Army Corps, Galliano Street with patriotic decorations, The United States Military Post-Office, Landing Strip of the Havana Custom House, and the place where the evacuation ceremony took place.
The print is in average condition with some wear and toning along the original folds. Some rips along fold lines. Minor edge wear. Part of top margin missing, with verso fill. Published from 1857 to 1916, the original Harper's Weekly, Journal of Civilization, was a weekly newspaper based in New York that employed artists to make detailed covers and illustration of daily life.
