Comments: Inscribed on the half-title page to theater critic John Simon: "...who kisses the fate of our blind dates, with much thought, admiringly, Jerzy, January 1978." Above the inscription, Kosinski made a small drawing and wrote a quote from E.M. Cioran: "Our pleasures like our pains come from the undue importance we attribute to our experience." The parcel of the five volumes of Destutt de Tracy has arrived safely in London. It's a very attractive set, with the added attraction of having once belonged to Charles Renouvier, no less! I'm very pleased with it. Many thanks and kind regards - L.P.
