Uncolored copper engraving. Image measures 12.25" x 20.25". This rare bird's-eye view of Sampierdarena, referred to here as "S. Pietro D'Arena," depicts the major port of Genoa, Italy. In the immediate foreground is now lost lighthouse which marked the entrance to the original port of Genoa. The city's harbor extends to the left and has two ships floating in it.
