The North Battery was built on the Hudson river near pier 26, just south of the modern day Holland Tunnel. In very good condition, with minor scattered foxing and wear to margins. I've been looking for another copy of "West of the Indus" for nearly twenty years (I know, it's such a cultural wasteland out here in the provinces), and I never expected to find one with a dust jacket. I am amazed. Thank you so much. I've enjoyed many books over the years, but this one has always been one of my favorites. Now if I can just figure out how to share it with my friends without losing it...
