Kyoto: 1957. Profusely illustrated with black & white photographic illustrations of Japanese calligraphy; text in Japanese. Thin 4to, pictorial wrappers. Kyoto, 1969. This issue is devoted to the paint and writing of five calligraphers: Sesshu, Taiga, Gyokudo, Chikuden, Tessai. Some bumping at corners and wear to the wrappers, still a very good copy.

This attractive broadside, designed printed and with hand -lettered calligraphy by James Trissell was published in an edition of 100 copies signed by Reid. This one is unnumbered, but has a penciled presentation signed "Alistair"

Covers are detached, title page soiled and chipped, covers detached, backstrip lacking. Several water stains (in margins, one plate with a margin repaired).
