Uncommon signed "Official" letterhead with his elected title as "Les President du Conseil de la Revolution & President du Conseil des Ministers," 6.25 x 7.5 inches, no date, circa 1968, with embossed seal as Minister, boldly signed with exceptional contrast. Near fine condition. Chairman of the Revolutionary Council of Algeria from 1965 - 1978 and thereafter as second President of Algeria until his death on 27 December 1978. Official reports claimed he died of a rare blood disease at the age of 45.

Algiers is the capital city of Algeria, on the country's Mediterranean coast. It's known for the whitewashed buildings of the Kasbah, a medina with steep winding streets. Georg Braun (1541-1622) was a Catholic cleric who edited the "Civitates orbis terrarum," a collection of 546 prospects, bird's-eye views...
