Taken in Short-Hand by A. Fraser. xiii, 65pp. 8vo, disbound; (dampstain to margin, scattered light foxing, small tear to top margin of t.p.). Philadelphia: Hopkins and Earle, 1808. First American Edition. Early in his political career, Henry Brougham unsuccessfully defended British merchants, who were against the Council's maritime trade restrictions with the United States. In 1810, Brougham became a member of Parliament. Later he was Lord Chancellor. S&S 14591.
