Signed "Albert Edward" as Prince of Wales on mourning stationery; written to Talbot about appointing a royal commission to inquire into Wellington College, in part: "...the best course which the governors of the Wellington college can pursue is to ask the Queen to appoint a commission to inquire into its administration. There is indeed a vast difference in our asking for.....
1923. 3.5 x 4.25 inches, signed "Desmond Fitzgerald, Enay 24, 1923." Mounting remnants and notations on the back, but still in near fine condition. Irish Revolutionary who participated in the 1916 Uprising and later the Irish Civil War. He supported the treaty with Great Britain that created The Irish Free State, becoming its second Minister of Foreign Affairs.
