Malabar: 1693. Botanical. Engraving with hand coloring. Page measures 14.25 x 18 1/8". Image measures 13.5" x 17.25". Beautifully colored branch from a type of pala, a large tropical tree. The name of the speciman is repeated Malabarese, Latin, Sanskrit and Arabic. Some scattered foxing. Your site is very easy to navigate: the ability to select the state through an image is very helpful, and your information comes up quickly. I haven't been looking for maps for a very long time (about a year) but many sites really take a while to bring up, and map images are many times hard to come by...
