Augusta: 1863. 1 page, 8.25 x 9.75 inches, Augusta, no date, circa 1863 -- an extremely scarce Confederate States of America ordnance form, not filled in, but boldly signed in brown iron galt ink: "W.A. Wright - 1st Lt- Art. & Ord. Officer, Post - Augusta, Ga." Light staining along of of the folds; still very good condition. Iin the summer of 1864, Wright fortified the Augusta arsenal, but Sherman bypassed Augusta, sparing the city from certain destruction. Wright arrived..... More
