Historically important document -- Galt's actual pay account showing that he received $1060.00 for six months and fifteen days, and received three promotions in rank. Jacksonport, AR. Large uncommon signature: "L.C. Gause - Jacksonport - Ark", 5.5" x 4", most likely executed while serving in the United States House of Representatives. Fine condition. American politician from Arkansas who entered the Confederate States Army as a Lieutenant, and was quickly promoted to Colonel. He was elected a member of the Arkansas House of Representatives in 1866 and was subsequently a commissioner to represent the state of Arkansas in Washington, D.C. Gause died suddenly at age 43..... Georgia politician who represented his state in the First and Second Confederate Congresses (1861-1865). Hartridge also served one year in the Confederate Army as a Lieutenant in the Chatham Artillery. More
