1965. 9.25 x 7.25-inch colorized closeup photo of Burton gazing off to the side -- no place, no date, circa 1965. Inscribed beside his face: "To Jere, Best wishes, Richard Burton." Matted in white and set in a beaded gold and black frame measuring 16.5 x 14.5 inches. Fine condition. Welsh stage and cinema actor.
Important vintage ISP, black and white, 8" x 10", depicting Capra sitting next to influential Washington Post stage critic, Nelson B. Bell, both casually dressed and presumably deep in conversation, c. 1930's, boldly signed: "To Nelson B. Bell -with many thanks - Frank Capra". Condition: light crease at the top left-hand margin (far from image) with an occasional surface striation. The minor issues affecting this photograph do not in any way detract from the signature which shows exceptional contrast. *From.....
1958. 2 pages (front and back) on personal stationery, 10.5 x 7.25 inches, no place, May 6, 1958. In this letter, Carney thanks theatrical public relations man William Fields for sending him sports shirts and wishing him a healthy recovery from a bout of sickness, in part: "...Hope that I'll be able to see you soon. Right now - I'm doing nothing but sitting on my Irish Fanny - happy to be idle!..." Several horizontal folds; very good condition.
