A very good(+) bright copy. Hammer (1858-1934), Chief Engineer with Edison, first suggested and used radium for cancer and tumor treatment. In addition he invented luminous radium preparations used for watch dials, clocks, etc. His work preceded Mme. Curie's Recherches sur les substances radioactives by a year.

Oblong 8vo, 1 page, 5.75 x 9 inches, March 12, 1924, on his very scarce "Instituto De Medicina Experimental" letterhead, sending salutations to his friend and distinguished doctor Alejandra Zorillo of San Martin, promising to send a photograph soon. Vertical fold; minor tear at the top right-hand margin; small stain. Very good(-) condition. Groundbreaking Argentine cancer doctor who made numerous trips to Europe in the 1920s, where he met Marie Curie.....
