Staining, folds and abrasions but otherwise in good condition. Includes iconic architecture such as the Louvre museum one of the world's most-visited museums. Hard to find. P. Rousset was a French engraver who specialized in lettering and cartography. More

Osaka: Cnogi Ichibe, 1875. Woodblock map. This rare and incredible woodblock Japanese pedagogical map by Chisokukan Shokyoku is a geography-teaching object from a school classroom during the Meiji period. Dating to 1875, the map is divided into blocks, with four showing eastern and western hemispheres, longitude and latitude, eleven showing land forms, and seven showing scenes. Pluribus Unum." Postmarked: "Gorham, Maine, July 13" with a cancelled 3c Washington (A-25) stamp, pink variety. No year, circa 1864, 3 x 5.5 inches. Small quarter-inch stain on the irregularly cut left margin, not affecting postmark. Good condition. More
