This incredibly detailed chart of the Baltic Sea shows the entirety of the sea extending east from Rugen. Two insets near the right margin show the harbors of St. Petersburg and Revel (Tallinn). Hand colored outline along the coastlines indicate dominion. A table in the lower right provides latitude and longitude lines of major cities. This map was produced by William Faden in 1803 by the order of the admiralties of Copenhagen, Stockhom, & St. Petersburg. In excellent condition. Folded as issued. Hard to find.

William Faden (1750-1836) was an 18th century English cartographer, engraver, mapseller, and publisher as well as 'Geographer to His Majesty & to his H.R.H. the Prince of Wales, George III & George IV. This is a beautiful example of his work.
