Lovely portrait of a lady with two prize horses. The posters were printed along with postcards to be for sale at the Brockton fair in Massachusetts. The Brockton fair has been running since 1874 and George Carney, a lifelong Brockton resident and well-known businessman, has owned and operated the fair since 1956. Charles W. Holmes was an illustrator primarily known for his depictions of horses.
