Charming etching of an idyllic beach scene printed circa 1930. Small canoes rest on the sand in the foreground, under the shade of palm trees. A large peak is visible in the background, on the other side of the cove. In good condition. Some small ink stains from the printer.
Amelia Ruth Coats (1872-1967) is an American print-maker who emigrated to Hawaii in the early 20th century. She is best remembered for her small, detailed etchings depicting Hawaiian landscapes. This is a lovely example of her work.
