This print was published by the Illustrated London News on December 16, 1865 to accompany an article describing Mr. Baker's explorations of the White Nile valley in eastern Africa. The sheet features two engravings made after sketches by Mr. Baker; the top image depicts "Commoro, Chief of the Latooka Tribe", and the bottom image depicts "Homestead of Natives of Gondokoro." Both images depict present-day South Sudan.
