Paris: Wuhrer, 1889.
Color lithograph. 26 3/4 x 34 1/2 inches.
Lovely large map of Paris showing the city's water network in 1854, drawn up by the surveyor L. Fauve. It comes from the work Les Travaux de Paris 1789-1889, retracing the work carried out in Paris between 1789 and 1889. The waters of the Ourcq, the Seine, the Grenelle well and the aqueducts of the waters of Ourcq and of sources are clearly printed in four colors as noted in the index. A few creases near the borders but not affecting the image. The title is embellished with the coat of arms of the city.
