Handsome dusky parrot with exquisite hang coloring. Plate 167 in "A Natural History of Uncommon Birds", published by Edwards between 1743 and 1751. The dusky parrot is native to northern South America, primarily found in Venezuela, Brazil, and Guyana.

George Edwards (1694-1773), the "father of British ornithology", was an English naturalist and ornithologist.
