This beautiful 18th century engraving depicts a Eurasian hoopoe's nest.
Adam Ludwig Wirsing (1733-1797) was a German engraver and publisher based in Nuremberg. In very good condition. Full original margins, but repair to left margin. Wirsing created the work after Barbara Dietzsch to appear as watercolors. Barbara Regina Dietzsch (1706 - 1783) was a Bavarian painter and engraver known for her still life paintings.
