Gerard Valk (1652-1726) was a based publisher, engraver and globe maker from Amsterdam. He moved to London and 1672 where he worked with other map and print sellers. He was well known for his mezzotint portraits of English royalty and nobility. He later began working closely with Petrus Schenk. Mary II (1662 - 1694) was Queen of England, Scotland, and Ireland, co-reigning with her husband, King William III & II, from 1689 until her death in 1694.
