An incomplete, but otherwise good copy of this scarce book. The binding was glued rather than sewn, so the individual signatures have sprung. Missing in Vol. I - illuminated frontispiece 'The Clans Arms', Mackays (plate & text), Forbese (plate & text), and Morays (plate & text); missing in Vol. II - illuminated frontispiece 'The Clans Arms', Machachlans (plate & text), and Glen Morriston (plate & text), Rose (plate only). Light foxing throughout, but plates are still bright and vibrant.
