This pamphlet includes a history of the acropolis in ancient times, from 2800 BC to it's reclamation by the Greek state in 1833 AD, and the modern era of the Acropolis from 1833-1958. A section titled "Tour of the Acropolis" provides numbered descriptions of each building or feature that comprises the Acropolis - corresponding to the supplemental map that is labeled numerically.
The folding map features a Bird's Eye View of the Acropolis at Athens, with an inset showing the plan. The map includes extensive detail as explained in the legend, including period of construction spanning from Prehistoric to Modern, with buildings, foundations, traces, and supposes color coded to correspond with each period. An elevation view of the North Slope of Acropolis is also featured in the inset. The Greek translation of the "Tour of the Acropolis" is included in the map, with the text decoratively framing the inset and appearing almost architectural. The back cover of the pamphlet is a miniature depiction of the folding map.
