New Orleans: 1978.
Uncommon signed photograph of the second fight between Ali and Spinks, September 15th 1978 at the Superdome, New Orleans, Louisiana, 10" x 8", an exceptional first generation image of both fighters connecting punches simultaneously, boldly signed in black sharpie across his white boxing trunks: "Muhammad Ali aka Cassius Clay" and in gold pen: "Leon Spinks". Item is set into a beige matte to 10" x 8", and placed inside a brown wood frame with natural stain finish to 15" x 13", using approved archival materials. Condition: the "C" in Clay has a slight scratch, we do not think it detracts in the least due to the spectacular contrast of Ali's signature. Excellent condition.
American champion boxer, activist and philanthropist often regarded as one of the most significant and celebrated sports figures of the 20th century.
Condition: Very Good
