Exceptional black and white postcard, 6" x 4", depicting Picasso's iconic painting 'Taureau', executed in 1957 in India ink with shadowing completed with charcoal and chalk. Boldly signed on the message panel in blue pen: "Picasso", along with the signature of his second wife: "Jacqueline" (Roque); while the address panel has been completed generically. *This postcard was licensed by Picasso in 1966 to Les Editions Braun et Cie, Paris. It is postmarked from Cannes April 3rd 1969, with the addition of a hand-stamped caption in French: "Le Soleil Vous Attend A" (The Sun is Waiting for You) with the addition of the Cannes logo containing a smiling sun radiating heat believed to have been designed by Picasso. Jacqueline and Picasso were married for eleven years from 1961 until his death in 1973. Fine condition.
