In all, there are 74 fine hand-colored aquatint plates (38 in first volume including title vignette; 36 in second volume). Tall 8vo, elegantly bound by Riviere & Son in full crimson morocco; ornate gilt-decorated spines with raised bands; thick inner dentelles, marbled endpapers, uncut edges, t.e.g. (some light wear at outer joints). London: Printed by J. Diggins, St. Ann's Lane; published at R. Ackermann's Repository of Arts. 1815, 1815-16. First editions. The plates are all printed on sheets smaller than the text block and bound fairly close at gutter; some faint scattered foxing and slight offsetting on some plates, otherwise a fine fresh copy.
