Pictorial commodities map of Southeast Asia from 1943, with military notations illustrating the Pacific theatre of war. Entirely in Japanese, it includes Myanmar over to Laos and Hainan Island, as well as to the Korean peninsula, Japan and Taiwan (scaled smaller to fit but highlighted in red). In good condition with professional 1 inch repair to water in the Andaman Sea. Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, Australia, Papua New Guinea and some of New Zealand are depicted. Made after Pearl Harbor, the Hawaiian Islands are shown in the Pacific Ocean with many ship icons, some sinking, others standard. Three insets explain the map, including commodities, military notations and a world map with the outline of the enlarged area. Hard to find.
