This lovely 1892 map by Rand McNally & Company depicts Texas in incredible detail. Covers the entire state along with parts of neighboring states. The southern portions of Texas is featured in an inset in the lower left quadrant of the map. Throughout, the map notes important towns, railways, rivers, lakes and several other topographical features. An index of chief cities is featured in the left margin. The important Railroads in Texas are represented numerically in red on the map with an index in the top left quadrant. The map is in good condition with minor wear along the original centerfold.

Rand McNally is an American publishing company specializing in maps, atlases and globes. Founded by William Rand in 1856, who hired Andrew McNally in 1858 to work in his shop. The two men formally established Rand McNally & Co. in 1868. The firm remains in business today.
