Typed Letter Signed
New York: 1906.
Interesting T.L.S. 4to. 1 page, McClure's Magazine, New York City, June 26, 1906, to his personal attorney and fellow investigative reporter Christopher Powell Connelley, mentioning Willa Cather who had arrived in New York City only six months earlier after being offered a position on the editorial staff of McClure's Magazine, in full: "It seems so lonesome without you here, but I have no doubt that your people will need you more than we. Miss Cather is also away this week, enjoying a well-earned rest, so the office is rather quiet. Thank you very much for your kind letter." A fine association piece connecting three of the most important muckraking reporters of the earliest twentieth century. Very good condition.
