Partly printed Document (unsigned) ... a bill for Thomas Stearns for advertisements placed in the Columbian Centinel, Boston, completely in Russell's hand, c. 1820. Evenly toned and in very good condition. Accompanied by a vintage 19th century steel engraving titled "Last Moments of Major Andre". Both items are in very good condition.

Benjamin Russell, american publisher, is best remembered for enlisting in the Revolutionary War in 1780, choosing to take the place of his employer Isaiah Thomas. On October 2nd 1780 Russell was chosen A Member of the Guard, whereby he escorted Major John Andre to his place of execution at the gallows.
