Hypermoderne Schachpartie:; ein Schachlehr- und Lesebuch zugleich eine Sammlung von 150 schonen Meisterpartien aus den Jahren 1914-1925

Vienna: Wiener Schachzeitung, 1925.

Well illustrated throughout with portraits of players and diagrams of games. 517 pages including the index, printed on thin paper; evenly toned and with tiny tears in margins on some pages. Thick 8vo, older rebind in simple green cloth (rear cover partially soiled; several pages with inked annotations in margins). Wien: Wiener Schachzeitung, 1925. Zweite unveranderte auflage.

Overall a very good copy of this scarce book. Tartakower's Die Hypermoderne Schachpartie, first published in 1924, is (along with Reti and Nimzowitsch) 1 of the 3 early important books on hypermodern chess. Tartakower (1887-1956), was and outstanding Polish-French chess master and brilliant theorist of the art.
