Typed Letter Signed on Supreme Court letterhead
Washington, D.C. 1953.
1 page, 10.5 x 8 inches, Washington, January 29, 1953, sending thanks to the recipient for sending a complimentary magazine subscription, in part: "...I don't want to seem to solicit your further courtesy, but I have certainly enjoyed the magazine, and I am very appreciative of your thoughtfulness in sending it to me. I have seen several state publications, but I know of none that approaches VERMONT LIFE. In my years in Washington, some of the warmest friendships I have made were with men serving from Vermont -- Senators Austin, Ernest W. Gibson, Sr., and Ernest W. Gibson, Jr., and George Aiken. They are worthy sons of the great little State of Vermont." Two horizontal folds; boldly signed and in near fine condition.
