Interesting Typed Letter Signed "Al"

1 page, 10.5 x 7 inches, Empire Theatre Building, New York City, February 2, 1943. Written to celebrated theatrical attorney L. Arnold Weissberger, in full: "Many thanks for your good wishes. They add immeasurably to my pleasure over the success of the show. We haven't hear (sic) from Mrs. Morse as yet, but are looking forward to meeting her. Hope that you passed your Radio Course with flying colors, as I'm sure you must have, and hope to see you after I return to New York with the show." Two file holes at left-hand margin (far from the text) and a paperclip stain near the upper left corner; very good(-) condition.

American heir to the Bloomingdale's department store fortune, "father of the credit card," and celebrated lover of murdered actress Hollywood model Vicki Morgan. He was a friend and confidante of President Ronald Reagan who appointed him to the President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board and later, a member of the United States Commission on Public Diplomacy.
